Meet The Staff Of Jamey Aebersold Jazz ®, Inc. |
Jamey Aebersold - Owner, For over 35 years,
Jamey Aebersold has been the leader in Jazz Improvisation and Education. Jamey has
taught at three colleges and universities in the Louisville, Kentucky area and has made
guest appearances in dozens of cities around the world. While conducting a jazz clinic in
Brazil he produced a 110-minute Video/DVD which has become a best-seller. He currently
teaches jazz improvisation at the University of Louisville. Jamey's hobby is
listening to jazz, especially new young players. He also enjoys playing basketball and is
very much interested in Metaphysics and spiritual pursuits as they apply to the growth of
the individual. In basketball, he has hit 50 free throws in a row! Jamey has been a
driving force in America's native art form, Jazz, and continues to kindle the fires of
musical imagination in those with whom he comes in contact.
Matt Eve - Sales Manager, General Manager, Matt
has been working for Jamey Aebersold for over 26 years - so he has personally seen and
done it all! He was an instructor for the Summer Jazz Workshops at the age of 20 and a faculty member of a local college for several
years until the administrative demands of the Jamey Aebersold Jazz ® made it impossible to
do both. Matt knows more about the products
and inventory than anyone else and is VERY knowledgable on jazz and jazz improvisation.
Matt is truly an asset to this company and knows the tools jazz players need to succeed.
Matt's hobbies are playing basketball and fishing. He also spends a lot of time playing
saxophone with the Reingold Band; a very successful European/Early American band. He lives
with his family in a house on a lake he built himself 20 years ago.
Brad Mundy - Shipping, Brad has been with
Jamey Aebersold Jazz ® for almost 14 years. Handling mostly retail customer packaging,
Brad knows all the in's and out's of customer satisfaction when it comes to packaging and
delivery. Brad enjoys the outdoors and spends most of his summer on the golf course.
He even cycles 5mi to work in the Summer! Brad is also excellent at
basketball.
Colby Inzer - Shipping, Inventory, Colby has
been associated with Jamey for about 13 years. Colby packages most all of the larger
orders generally placed by music stores. He also keeps the product shelves in good
stock and handles the incoming inventory. Colby is a graduate of William Patterson
College with a BA in Jazz Performance and is currently studying at the University of
Louisville for his Masters. He is one of the most "in demand" jazz
drummers in the Louisville area and plays in local clubs and events almost every weekend.
Jason Lindsey - Graphics/Web Design, Summer Jazz
Workshop Administrator, Entering his 10th year with the company, Jason has shuffled
around quite a bit. He started in Stock, moved to shipping, and is now working on
the computer end of things. Jason helps in desiging the book covers for Jamey
Aebersold Publications and helps maintain the jazzbooks.com website. Jason will also
work on ads and such for printing and publishing. He has a BA in Liberal Arts from
Indiana University and spends his free time playing music and working in the very strange
world of professional wrestling. In addition to working for Jamey, Jason, along with his
wife, Jennifer, own and operate Dreamchaser

Gigi Day - Accounts Receivable, Payable, Gigi
has worked at Jamey Aebersold Jazz ® for close to 9 years and has been responsible for
maintaining customer orders and accounts. She is our resident Multi-linguist as she
speaks fluent French and Spanish. Gigi personally handles both retail and wholesale
customer accounts as well as order entry and retrieval. She has a BA in Marketing
from Indiana University and her hobbies include Kickboxing and Fitness.
Dale Morgan - Shipping, Dale has been working
in Shipping for almost 3 years and has become one of the best in that department yet!
Dale also handles mostly retail customer packaging and has come a long way in a
short period of time. Dale enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children and is
always looking for a reason to take weekend trips with his family.
Ben Gritton - Customer Service, Ben has been
employed for almost two years, but has been an enormous part of the Jamey Aebersold Summer
Jazz Workshop for several years now. He is very jazz savvy and is usually the one to
answer all of the customer order inquiries and questions. Ben also plays the
saxophone and enjoys spending his spare time training his black and tan coonhound.
Nick Eve - Data Entry, Nick has been working
over a year, and has been a tremendous help in data entry, and mailing. He is
in High School and enjoys video games, and playing basketball.
