Weber's Grand Duo Concertant is a magnificent piece for clarinet - displaying all the charm and rich woodwind character for which the composer was so justly famous; also included in this edition is a work by a man who was influenced profoundly by Weber: Richard Wagner. His Adagio - written in Wurtzburg in 1833 - which is thought to have been composed for the clarinetist Rummel.
