In 1956, the incomparable Ella Fitzgerald recorded her first album for the Verve label. The inaugural record in her Ella Fitzgerald Sings... series, in which she tackled the work of songwriters from the Great American Songbook, it was a collection of standards by Cole Porter. With great care and affection we have recreated nine songs from that landmark release, including You're The Top, Every Time We Say Goodbye, Let's Do It and I Get A Kick Out of You.
