Joe used this technique of teaching with students while teaching in Jr. High up to College level. Use of Intervals and grouping of notes is phrasing technique in which students learn to perform groups or cluster of several notes together in order to express and enhance a Jazz Line. This book will give students the experience of learning to heard intervals and note groping. Developing an understanding of the concept of how intervals help to create melodic lines will help students to automatically generate mature jazz lines.
