First and foremost, I would like to express my dearest thanks to Advance Music for kindly publishing my compositions, in the course of whose creation I constantly and conscientiously endeavored to make allowance for the patterns of this wonderful music SALSA - a kind of music that combines the emotions and sentiments of the Latin American peoples in all their diversity.
I do hope that my compositions and arrangements will prove to be a helpful contribution to all those who are still novices as arrangers and composers in this musical genre; not least because these pieces also comprise that great harmonic wealth the use of which is nowadays typical of this music style.
A good many people might ask where I come from; my answer is: I’m from Peru. Which is ample proof of the fact that one does not necessarily need to be born in New York, Puerto Rico or Cuba.
Personally, I am convinced that it just takes emotion, joy and conscientiousness to be a good SALSERO.
Hence: If you have a dream about making your mark in this gorgeous music, hold on to it. Always remember this: „As soon as the fruit is ripe, it will drop off the tree all by itself.“
I trust with all my heart that I will be able to keep sharing in everything that relates to this beautiful music; and I wish you all the best.
Go ahead confidently!
